hi all , i want to ask if this possible to create post , where .mp4 is video and .gif is a preview file?

so i have 2 files in folder : EX361.mp4 and EX361.mp4.gif

when trying to create post , themaCreator choosing type "Images" for this post and using template from pictures.

how to force the program to use a .gif file as a preview for a video file?

Hi,

for needed section change template type to be "Video" (not "Auto" which is default) [don't forget to press "Update" button).

In "Settings" -> "Process" -> "Cover" -> "If using cover file prefer image which has name has text" -> by default it's set to "cover", so your image file must have word "cover" anywhere in filename. You can change that or leave it empty (if left empty = first image will be used).

So leave it empty in your case.

Now when trying to create post , themaCreator is using GIF file as preview , BUT my gif file is animated video and file size is 20mb . But the program upload a file with size 117 KB which is single picture, when my file size is 20mb and its animated video


there is no any error just uploading wrong file.

Whats wrong? need to force program upload use this 20mb .gif file as preview

Send me that GIF file and let me know which image host you are using, they might not support that file.

Im using own created. Site on wordpress, if i upload on site manually all is working.

It's just because of default settings, you can change them and it will be fine.

The gif image is 8.8MB, but in settings "Reduce image size if larger than (in MB)" is set to 4.

Resizing gif will leave only the first frame.

Just change that option to 10MB and it will be fine (do that for both "Cover" and "Preview" if needed) in "Settings" -> "Process" -> "Cover" or "Preview".
