I am experiencing some trouble with this host for the second time now.

The link appears wrong and the problem comes as mysteriously as it goes away by itself after some time.

Other hosts perform well with same files but FileFox links appear differently and the file is not uploaded.

I suspect that I'm out of space on host but as I remember TC marks those tasks in red and there is a message saying that there is no more space on host.

This time tasks were processed successfully and sent to TP. Only after I have discovered that filefox links are no good.

Instead of: filefox.cc/gh4389hjk

I get: filefox.cc/filename and the file does not exist.

Any ideas anyone?

After a serious research (time waste :)) I can say that it was definitely no space problem.

Seems to me that filefox uploads a file to a temp folder and after successful upload and crc check it moves it to my affiliate drive, only to realize that there is not enough space to move the file.

Instead of responding with not enough space message, I presume API simply returns bogus link.

After a big file fails, the small file goes through (since there is just enough space for it), and than next big file fails.

It's FileFox Api that has a problem and I guess I'll mail them as soon as I figure out exactly what to say...


Meanwhile I'll keep in mind to clean my drive of old files more regularly.

I am wondering if it's possible to have files uploaded to separate folders instead of root folder.

Folder name could simply be same as section name...

This would allow me to see clearly the number of downloads by sections/topics and what is popular and what isn't.

They don't really allow to select a folder when uploading.

Try to contact them so they would add this feature and then I could add it as well.

They want us to be as blind as possible.

They removed download stats for PPD users...

Go figure...
