Hi.

Would it be possible to scramble the filenames being uploaded?
and maybe even change md5 in case a file has been blocked on a filehost already.

Hi,

what do you mean by scramble the filenames?

Do you mean change them to random letters/numbers?

Some hosts actually test MD5 after uploading. If I give wrong MD5 to them they will give error, that MD5 doesn't match.

What you could do is to add your own .txt file in folder and after compressing your archive MD5 would be unique because of that .txt file.

Yes I know the .txt trick .. not the biggest problem :)

By scramble I mean random letters & numbers so that files are not named with original titles ...

The filenames which are in archive or archive name itself? Or files names if not using archive? Or pretty much all which I mentioned?

the archive name .. everything before .zip .z01 .z02 etc ... for example
This.Movie.Rox.720p.mp4 zips into
This.Movie.Rox.720p.z01
This.Movie.Rox.720p.zip

Uploading results in filenames like this, just examples.
dghsfd45.z01
adkadf88.zip

Unzipped after somebody downloads they get This.Movie.Rox.720p.mp4.

So in short .. only the uploaded files should be scrambled but as an option to turn it on/off ... its not for everybody I guess.

I use it so files stay alive longer and harder to DMCA report.

I think the zip names need to be the same for multiple archives in order to extract.
adkadf88.z01
adkadf88.zip

Hey Freddy.

Old topic.

But was wondering if it would be possible to have something to say about the name scrambling so that it is not 100% random.

for example maybe I would like to add date as first text or maybe initials or other stuff, so if I chose 8 letters + 7 numbers = 15 chars name but if I specify date i.e 18-05-2019 only 5 chars left to scramble.

Use this method. It wont change this while scrambling the name..

Add replacement in "REPLACEMENTS" tab -> "Subject" tab -> choose "Apply to" type "Filename".

Search for:

Replace with:
Code:
ad-team-

Enable regex search.

Hi.

Would it be possible to chose for which host I want to randomize filename?

I am having a lot of problems with imagetwist not accepting the images & covers I generate in TC but when they are randomized filename they upload fine.

Would be nice to chose for what hosts (file & imagehost) to randomize - just like you can chose to compress or not per host.

@Pablo01

PM me the titles which you have problems with at first.

I will fix uploading for those titles first.
