I've seen that compression uses folder name for archive name instead of file name and I like it.

I suggest an option to use folder name over filename when uploading files to hosts.

That way it would be possible to use same replacements for file name as I use for titles instead of creating new.

Also file names are very blunt and downloaders would have better titled files. Downloaded file would be named exactly as title/subject.

You can already do that.

In "Templates" -> select needed post type tab -> "{#fileUploadName#}" tab -> set it to

Code:
{#folderName#}


However if you have multiple files in the folder which needs to be uploaded separately -> then all their filenames will be the same.

This replacement works only when it's alone.

When I use this replacement, all filename replacements that come after it, are ignored.

And in case where the next replacement is regex:

",|'|\[|\]|\(|\)|\{|\}|<|>|\!|\$|&| |-"
into
"."

filename ends up being literary "#folderName#.mp4"

Something is going on that I can't quite figure out.

* Added new tempplate in "Templates" -> "{#fileUploadName#}" tab. Upload filename template. Default = empty, normal filename will be used.

You should update new template for needed post type and delete that replacement (will update my answer above as well).

Now it ignores random filename option for image hosts.

Tested. Everything seems fine.

Make sure you have enabled it for image host in "HOSTS" -> "Images" -> select needed host -> under "Other settings" -> "Randomize filenames" -> press "Update" button.

If I misunderstood -> PM me with more details and do this: "Help" menu (at the top) -> "Support" -> "Compress" -> send me the file which it opens.

Will review your settings.
