Hi,

I am looking for a way to add and/or remove tags/meta data from video files while being processed in TC.

What I mean is - some video files have a "comment" or "Title" somehow inside the video file info.

I can be something like "copyright by ********"
or - Downloaded from thiswebsite.com

It is always visible in the Media Player Classics "Information" view (ctrl+3)

I mostly just want it to be removed or replaced by something of my choosing.

I am not sure its possible or if its too much work to have TC do before uploading etc - im not sure if it requires a re-encode.

Right now I use foobar2000 but it would be a lot easier to have it done when files/folders are dragged into TC

2.21:
* Added option in "Settings" -> "Process" -> "Files" -> "Remove file meta-data if possible".

It removes metadata from within the files like "Copyright, Description, Comment, etc."

That metadata is visible on some video players if users have more information enabled. Not all files have it (only if creator added it).

@Crackpot try downloading a video from i.e M@nyvids it says "Copyright MV" in the file information / meta data - this will be removed.

You can see this information if you right click a video file and go to details tab - thats the information that will be removed.

Could be some websites/blogs TAG the videoviles with their blog name - that will be removed.
