Hey

When the process fails uploading to filehost or image host and it's stopped (red color) when we retry it it's starts compressing the files again even though rar was fine.
Would it be possible to keep the rar files that are associated with red processes in temp folder and remove them when we delete that process?

What about multi rared files? You keep the successful links in cache but what about if the file is re-rared? Do TC uses those cached links or uploads new (if new they will not be compatible with the cached ones).

I'm not sure if the cached links may be an issue... haven't done much testing on this, but re-raring files is a little annoying on biggers files.

What do you think?

Hi,

with cached links everything will be fine (tested multiple times before).

Not sure about keeping the files, a lot people don't delete statuses at all for a long time and sometimes even not retrying, also if some host will become temporary offline it would literally keep all those files and would clog the HDD really fast.

Compressing is usually fairly fast process.

That's OK, I though there may be a thing to improve, but if you already thought about then it's ok.

Thank You for your reply.

Will think a bit more later. Maybe it could be improved.

It would be nice to have an option to choose whether or not to leave files

e.g. now it will upload a 70GB serial in 5GB parts and on RG it often does not send via API if I take it retry, it has to pack 70GB again and it takes time

On auto-retries it does not need to repack.

You could try to increase auto-retry times and/or auto-retry seconds.

I want to add that compressing big files into rar makes my 3 drive raid go to 100%, with all r/w operations going on already.

Rapidgator is doing some file integrity and other checks before creating a link and that leads to timeouts. I switched my timeouts to max (60sec), because with 30sec there were still errors. And it wouldn't be a problem if it didn't have to recompress (only big files fail).

The way I see it, TC should not have to keep rar files until status is deleted, but only until status is successfully processed, as it is by default.

Cheers!
