Hi,

adjust cover and preview settings.

In "Settings" -> "Process" -> "Preview" -> enable option "Prefer provider preview file and don't generate preview".

In "Settings" -> "Process" -> "Preview" -> down below (last option): "If using preview file prefer image which has name has text" -> by default it's set to "preview", so your image file must have word "preview" anywhere in filename. You can change that or leave it empty (if left empty = first image will be used).

In "TEMPLATES" -> "Video" -> "Settings" -> disable option to "Always try to get cover from external source".

In "Settings" -> "Process" -> "Cover" -> "If using cover file prefer image which has name has text" -> by default it's set to "cover", so your image file must have word "cover" anywhere in filename. You can change that or leave it empty (if left empty = first image will be used).

Hi,

if you want to use custom file covers:

In "TEMPLATES" -> "Video" -> "Settings" -> disable option to "Always try to get cover from external source".

In "Settings" -> "Process" -> "Cover" -> "If using cover file prefer image which has name has text" -> by default it's set to "cover", so your image file must have word "cover" anywhere in filename. You can change that or leave it empty (if left empty = first image will be used).

Sorry to bump someone else's question but it's the same as mine. Do I just put the file cover in the same folder as the file I want to process and will use that as the image cover?

And apply settings above.

Thanks

Hi Support,

I would like to take some pictures from each directory and use it as Preview. The whole directory will uploaded to the file host after.

The directory will be uploaded and some pictures in there should be uploaded to img host and used in the thread.

Thanks for your help.

Best regards

Hi,

adjust preview settings.

If it's "Images" type post - rows * columns = total images used.

Hello dear Freddie. I really don’t want to bother you over trifles, but I still couldn’t figure out the settings. It seems that everything was done according to the instructions you wrote above, but not the images that are needed are loaded.
The root folder contains a subfolder as well as separate cover and preview images. When I select the root folder the cover and previews are loaded from the subfolder, not the ones in the root folder and renamed to "cover" and "preview". (I'm generating the post from the images folder, not from the videos)
I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong... Please help me.

Do this: "Help" menu (at the top) -> "Support" -> "Compress" -> send me the file which it opens (via PM, on any file host).

Will review your settings.

You have enabled in "Settings" -> "Process" -> "Files" -> "When folder is selected scan and process only deepest level folders as separate posts."

So it's not using files in root folder at all now. It only processes deepest level folders.

Disable that option.

The cover will be fine then.

The preview at the moment is always being gathered based on "rows / columns", but I will change that for "Images" type as well for next update (2.73).
