The problem is when I choose the file to process, it just uploads it to my filehost and that's it.
It does not make any previews and do not upload them to my image host.

you most likely just have some incorrect setup.

Do this: "Help" menu (at the top) -> "Support" -> "Compress" -> send me the file which it opens (via PM on any file host).

Will review your settings and point out the mistake.

Now it worked, after I added in the Image host settings: Type "Upload for" images and videos...
Although, your tutorial has: "Upload for" is used to specify for which post types to use this host. By default it's being used for all types.

However if you need you can use different image host for "Video" and "Audio" posts or any other combination.

You don't need to change anything if you don't want to use different hosts for different types.

You probably removed those "Upload for" types manually previously.

By default all types are added automatically when adding the image host.

If you want to use custom cover / preview file change these settings:

Adjust cover and preview settings.

In "Settings" -> "Process" -> "Preview" -> enable option "Prefer provider preview file and don't generate preview".

In "Settings" -> "Process" -> "Preview" -> down below (last option): "If using preview file prefer image which has name has text" -> by default it's set to "preview", so your image file must have word "preview" anywhere in filename. You can change that or leave it empty (if left empty = first image will be used).

In "TEMPLATES" -> "Video" -> "Settings" -> disable option to "Always try to get cover from external source".

In "Settings" -> "Process" -> "Cover" -> "If using cover file prefer image which has name has text" -> by default it's set to "cover", so your image file must have word "cover" anywhere in filename. You can change that or leave it empty (if left empty = first image will be used).
