Is there anyway to auto rename a folder before it gets compressed? or maybe auto rename the compressed file before it gets uploaded? I'm auto downloading files with a torrent client and then I used a tool to monitor a directory to auto extract but it seems that the extracted files would include the file extension in the folder name which I don't want. I tried a few other auto extractor tools but they all include the file extension in the folder name. So I'm wondering can TC rename folder names unless someone knows a good auto extractor tool that can extract without including the file extension in the folder name.

themaCreator can do that (both rename before uploading and save renamed file to HDD as well).

I would need some examples of "Before" and "After" how you need it to be.

basically I just want file extension removed

You would need to add a replacement to remove that.

In "REPLACEMENTS" -> under "Subject" tab -> add this replacement with "Apply to" selected as "Filename":

Search for:


Replace with:


Enable regex search.

I have included "rar" as well just in case.

"Filename" replacement is for uploading to host.

To remove that from the actual post subject add the same replacement with "Apply to" as "All post types" selected.
